If you all were wondering, Christy did try to pay me the $20.00 she owed me from the totally unfair bet I made with her. However, I did reject it saying that it was not a fair bet at all…Anyways, the look on her face after I asked her was worth way more than the $20.00 we bet…
The Dive
May 27, 2009Adam and I decided that since it appears that everyone who has a life changing event occur in their lives begins blogging, well that we should too.
On May 24th 2009 Adam proposed to me…YAY!! In true Christy fashion, I was crabby. We were driving back from my sister Jen’s house and it was late. For those of you who don’t know me, I do really well without a lot of sleep for about 2 days and then…well I’m not so nice to be around. So I had been up late the past few nights and was extremely grumpy.
As we are driving back to the house, Adam asks me if I want to watch tv with him when we got back…I don’t think I could have answered no any quicker. I was exhausted and I just wanted to sleep! He proceeded to try to convince me that I should watch tv with him. I vehemently disagreed and told him I was going to be insanely crabby if he didn’t just leave me be.
He put $20 on it that I wouldn’t. A bet in my mind I could not lose, so I took that bet! (Easiest $20 I ever made) I also couldn’t help but inform him that it was the dumbest bet he has ever made because not only was I going to be really grumpy and crabby but he was essentially paying me $20 to do so!!
So we get home and I walk in the door and flip on the light. On the kitchen table is a teddy bear that is holding a heart that says, “When I count my blessings I count you twice” and there is a box in front of him. I just froze. Adam took the box got down on one kneed and asked me to marry him!
Of course I said yes, otherwise we wouldn’t be blogging. I was estatic…until he smirks.
“I think you owe me $20!” Smart butt!!
So that is the story of how we got to this point. In my book that seems pretty significant. So we are going to keep you all updated on the wedding planning and well, our lives in general. Adam is even buying a camera to keep the pictures updated!
For now here is the beautiful ring that Adam picked out all by himself! I have to say he did an excellent job
